Excellent hotel in great location. Room was very clean and the hotel had a lovely bar. Breakfast was superb and the staff were excellent. I would definitely stay here again and 100% recommend to anyone.

My wife and I stayed in the Roman apartment which is a two bedroomed apartment slightly dated but clean, quiet and homely. The breakfasts are excellent buffet Style but you can ask for your eggs how you want them, a bacon roll etc. There is a well stocked bar in the hotel and prices are a bit dearer then nearby pubs which you can walk to in about 15 minutes. We could see the sea from the front bay window of our suite and parking was limited but ok
if we had reason to come to Southend again we would certainly consider staying here again.

Was a little worried as on first sight the hotel looked a little dated. We were greeted by Dennis who made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. Pleasantly surprised by my room, yes it was small but spotless and had everything I needed. Lovely comfy bed, spotlessly clean and a very nice on suite with a fabulous shower. The breakfast was very good and filling. Staff were very attentive, bringing tea, coffee and toast even though it was self service. Overall, a very relaxed comfortable stay would definitely stay here again!
