Online Booking
Rooms can be reserved online through our website with a valid credit/debit card. If our website is showing no availability then please call our reception on 01702351000 to double check as we always keep rooms available. You can book online on other Online Travel Agents like Booking.com, Laterooms.com or Expedia but we can guarantee to beat any prices advertised there. Please note that all OTA’s do not have the rights to pre-charge you for your reservation, you will pay upon arrival at the hotel.

Confirmation

Bookings made via Online Travel Agents (Booking.com, Laterooms.com, Hotels.com, Expedia, Agoda, Trip Advisor and many more OTA’s) and through our own website will be confirmed directly by email. For telephone bookings the Receptionist will confirm the booking verbally by using his name as reference but if you require a written confirmation then a valid email address should be provided for sending the confirmation by email. We require your credit/debit card details, which will be held on file in order to secure the room. Even if the payment will be made in cash on arrival date we still cannot take a booking without a valid debit or credit card.

Pre-Authorisation

We reserve the rights to do a Pre-Authorisation on all bookings, (Online Travel Agents Bookings and Direct online or over the phone Bookings). A preauthorisation is a temporary hold of a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card that is provided upon booking. The preauthorisation is not a charge and no funds will be debited from your account, it is a security for us that the card is valid.

Promotion code IH10

Use the Promotion Code IH10 online to get extra 10% off* normal rates
*promotions are available only for online bookings,  may not be available all throughout the year and could have been applied to selected rooms only. When you enter the code the prices change automatically, if not then no promotions are available for those dates.

Deposit and Payment

We will ask for deposit if the booking is for more than 1 night or if there are a group of rooms booked together but we may ask for a deposit even for 1 night bookings on special Bank Holidays or Christmas and New Year’s Eve.  Up to 10-30% of the total amount per room will be taken to secure your booking. We accept Visa, AMEX, Mastercard, Switch, Travellers Cheques and Cash. Cheques will only be accepted to pay for deposits for future bookings, not to pay on the day (funds must have been cleared in our bank before check in date) and if supported by a valid cheque card.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel your reservation, We will require advance notice of any cancellation by 2pm two days prior to the date of arrival. Failure to do so will result in the full price of the stay being charged to your credit/debit card. We operate a very strict cancellation policy. We strongly advise that you take out travel insurance to cover you from any financial loss should you need to cancel within the cancellation period. Cancellation charges are offset against any deposit made and are charged to the card provided for the reservation.

  • For all Direct Online or Phone bookings:
    Please ring the hotel directly on 01702351000 or email us on info@ilfracombe-hotel.co.uk to amend or cancel a booking.

No-Show

Failure to arrive without any communication will result in the full charge of the booking being deducted from the card at the rack rate (full charge).

Check In/Out

Rooms are available from 2:00pm until 9:00pm On the day of arrival. If you intend to arrive after 9:00pm please let us know in advance. Accommodation must be vacated by 10:30am on the day of departure. Late arrivals or early departures will not receive any refund for any holiday missed.

Car Parking

We have our own Car Park located at the rear of the hotel, for cars and small vans. For big trucks, coaches and mini-buses please inform in advance. In case the car park is full the receptionist will be able to help to find spaces at he side or front of the hotel.  Vehicles are parked entirely at the owners risk.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited anywhere inside the establishment including the front car park (Smoke-Free Act 2007). Guests are only permitted to smoke in the patio area in front of the hotel where ashtrays are provided upon request. Should we have reason to believe that guest rooms have been smoked in, we reserve the right to charge a £100 cleaning fee and guests will be required to depart without refund.

Pet Policy

Sorry, No Pets are allowed in the Hotel or Self-Catering Apartments

Adventure Island Wristbands

– Book any accommodation with us, either hotel room or an Apartment Suite and you will get discounted all-day-wristbands to Adventure Island Fun Fair. Wristbands can be purchased on the day so no need to reserve them in advance. Please check the Adventure Island website for opening times. Adventure Island puts prices up every year so we will have to increase the prices accordingly every year so please call the reception to find out how much saving you will making when comparing the prices with the Adventure Island Fun Fair.

Children Policy

  • Children up to and including the age of 2 stay free.
  • Children over the age of 2-13 are charged as children
  • Children over the age of 13 are charged as adults
  • Please arrange with us for any extra travel cots or camp beds.
