Great Family Run Hotel
I booked through a third party site, which had great reviews. When I turned up I was transported back to my youth with the style of the hotel, reception and that it was a family run business. I was not disappointed as the service from every member of staff was great. Although only me eating that night, the full menu was available and food prepared fresh. My room was a bit small for me, couldn’t work in it, but I was able to work downstairs. The beach was a few minutes away so a great location. Would stay again, but would ask for a bigger room

Any additional comments This inn is centrally located in a great, walkable neighborhood. The place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing!

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the ladies who served us were great. Definitely will be returning

Very pleasant stay and good value. Breakfast excellent.
Shower cubicle tiny but adequate.
A little noise from corridors/stairs but not disruptive.
A good alternative to the chain hotels and ideal for Cliffs Pavilion.

Any additional comments Overall a 4 our of 5, a few things that would of made it perfect that other guests have picked up on previously that hasn’t been actioned. Curtains letting in light as soon as sun is up. No blind on bathroom window. Front room windows are not able to be opened safely to let air through the apartment. Pane broken and gap in window. Unattended children or unsuspecting adult could cause injury to hands if not noticed damage. Suggest replacing pane and repairing window frame,especially as it’s the main view to the sea view. Find a home for fans,cables and heaters that can be used when needed, instead of having them sat here and there. Headboard to main bedroom is loose and clunk’s at every movement. Secure or replace with fitted one. Overall a nice large apartment, let down by a few minor issues that should of in the previous reviewers feedback already have been sorted for the price mark of the accommodation.

Lovely welcome from Bertie and Drita. All the family were most helpful from start to finish. They did everything to make our stay enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend staying there.

Very good
Really nice small hotel. The room was large and spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, there was a large bath in the room which is rare these days so I took advantage of that. The hotel is situated a hundred metres or so from the sea front, but down some steps so beware of that. Staff / owners were friendly and efficient, and breakfast was made to order and of a great quality. If I am ever back in Southend again I will definitely stay here, thanks for having me!

Such a lovely seaside hotel. Just an overnight stay as came for a show at the cliffs pavillion, 5 minute walk to there so fab if you are doing the same. Super clean room very comfortable, lovely bathroom. Delicious breakfast and all staff very friendly and accomodating. Will definitely stay again if in southend. Highly recommend

We found you and your family and staff very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. The location of the hotel to everything else in Southend was fantastic too. Overall 10/10. We’ll be back and will recommend to friends too.
