Warm welcome when we arrived and Bertie carried our bags (I am partially sighted) which was most kind.We shared a twin bedroom on the ground floor (number 14) which has a door on to the carpark and a little kitchentte. It is a short passage away from the bar area. We were worried that it would be noisy but the bar closes at 1.00pm and we were not disturbed at all. Dinner is from a limited menu but very tasty and breakfast was quite extensive: fruit juice, tea/coffee, cereal, fruit, eggs how you like them, beans, hash browns, bacon etc. Newspapers were on the table.

I asked for an extra blanket and it arrived promptly. Bed was most comfortable. The water was hot and I appreciated having a bath option.

Hotel situated near the seafront and we would recommend it as good value for money. We weren’t on holiday, luckily chose this hotel because we needed to be reasonably close to the hospital (not in walking distance).
